Mackinaw City, MI: Jim Wehr is owner and manager of the Mackinaw Crossings 52 Store Victorian Shopping Village. MACKINAW OUTFITTERS store location was previously the space of The Mackinaw Theater in the Mackinaw Crossings which closed its doors after the final performance on October 22nd, 2006.
Great News! the Mackinaw Outfitters is open Year Around! Mackinaw Outfitters offers assortments of lifestyle type products for the entire family and also proudly sells Bass Pro Shops branded products. It has been Jim Wehr's vision to create a friendly shopping environment, educating families about the great outdoors and all the wonders of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
Located on the first level is apparel, camping and footwear for the entire family. The upstairs mezzanine houses massive assortments of hunting, fishing, marine and related clothing. Our commitment to you, our customer, is great customer service along with extensive assortments. We will listen to your shopping needs and react immediately on special items that are needed to make our store your store.
While visiting The Mackinaw Outfitters, customers will feel at home in the upper Michigan rustic log cabin atmosphere and be overwhelmed by our 10,000 Gallon Aquarium stocked with fish natural to the Michigan Waterways. We will also feature museum quality wildlife exhibits, mounted fish and specialty pieces capturing the history of Northern Michigan's Great Outdoors and bring this experience to life. The more adventurous visitor will love climbing our 40ft Mackinaw Bridge themed climbing wall. Jim Wehr has also made a commitment to maintaining and conserving the great outdoors and will be working with local groups to further existing conservation efforts.
