I'll tell ya what...next to archery season, this is my most favorite time
of year. I'm out scouting and setting stand sites.....I'm out setting trail
cameras on the most favored trails just to see what's out there!
I'm shooting almost daily and making myself ready....my equipment,
including my recurves and longbows and compounds and crossbows
are tweaked and my arrows fly true, albeit, I'll rebuild them many
times before October arrives.
I'm busy trying to keep the Archery Department stocked for the
upcoming season, and answering the myriad of questions that this
sport produces....but......I'm looking most forward to taking care of
YOUR equipment and answering YOUR questions.......get on in here
before October....preferably July and August....let's get you ready to
be in the woods!

Bruce Schuster

If you have visited Jim Wehr's Mackinaw Outfitters then chances
are you have probably met Bruce. He works in our Archery
Department as a Bow Technician. Bruce has been with the
Outfitters since it's opening. He has been hunting for over 40 years
and enjoys rifle hunting for deer, hunting duck and geese, and also
muzzle loading. His passion however is archery! Bruce thinks that
the fall of the year is the best time to be hunting...mother nature is
truley at here best during this season.

teach someone how to shoot it properly is very gratifying.   It makes
Bruce's day when he takes a novice archer and gets them shooting
groups of arrows together on the target before they leave with their
new bow.
